Ralph L. Whitt, Jr.

Ralph received his Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction from the University of Virginia in 1977, and his law degree from the University of Richmond in 1981. Ralph was a member of the University of Richmond’s National Moot Court team and McNeill Law Society honoring those in the top 10% of the first-year law class. Ralph has been voted by his peers as one of the Best Lawyers in America in the area of workers’ compensation law each year since 1999. In September of 2009, Ralph received the distinction of having been voted “Best Lawyer” in his field ten consecutive years. Ralph is a member of the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys, having served previously as chairman of its workers’ compensation section and on its Board of Directors. Ralph is also a member of the Local Government Attorneys of Virginia, and Ralph and the firm are members of the Virginia Self-Insurers Association. Although Ralph represents clients in all aspects of workers’ compensation litigation, he has extensive experience defending local government entities against claims brought by public safety employees under the presumption for heart disease, lung disease and various cancers.
Michael P. Del Bueno

Mike graduated from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania in 1992 and received his law degree from Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware in 1996. Since being admitted to the Virginia bar in October of 1996, Mike has practiced primarily in the area of insurance defense and workers’ compensation law. Mike writes articles on workers’ compensation issues in Whitt & Del Bueno’s e-newsletter. Mike is a member of the Virginia State Bar and the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys.
Megan Kerwin Clark

Megan graduated with distinction from Penn State University in 2008, where she was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. She received her law degree from the University of Richmond in 2011. During law school, Megan served as an articles editor for the Richmond Law Review, as well as a member of the Moot Court Board and Honor Council. She is licensed by the Virginia State Bar and is a member of the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys and the Workers' Compensation Inn of Court. Megan has been practicing workers’ compensation law since 2014 and enjoys the relationships she has developed with the firm’s great clients. In her free time, you’ll find Megan running, cooking, cheering on PSU football, and spending time with her husband and their two children.
A. Jacob Perkinson

Jacob graduated Valedictorian from the Appalachian School of Law in 2016. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from Bellevue University in 2011. During law school, Jacob served as Editor-in-Chief of the Appalachian Journal of Law and Clerk for the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honors Society. Jacob has experience representing both claimants and defendants in workers’ compensation cases. Jacob is licensed by the Virginia State Bar and is a member of the Workers’ Compensation Inn of Court. Jacob is also a member of the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys and former Chair of its Workers’ Compensation Section. Jacob was selected to the Super Lawyers Virginia Rising Stars List in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.
Sarah V. rose

Although she grew up in Maryland, Sarah always knew Virginia was home. She attended the College of William and Mary, graduating in 2010, then went on to the University of Richmond School of Law. While at school, Sarah was a manuscripts editor on Law Review, a member of the Client Counseling and Negotiations Board and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Society, and Vice President of the Women’s Law Student Association. After graduating in 2015, Sarah did a stint in mass tort litigation; however, most of her experience is in personal injury work. Sarah worked for a prominent insurance company before moving on to plaintiff’s work, both of which provided her with substantial litigation, negotiation, and writing experience. Sarah is licensed by the Virginia State Bar and admitted to practice in both the Eastern and Western districts. She is also a member of the Metro Richmond Women’s Bar Association, providing mentorship to women in law school. In her off time, Sarah likes to build Lego sets and enjoys hiking and camping with her husband.
Kylie L. Hobson

Kylie graduated with a bachelor of arts with distinction in English and French from the University of Virginia in 2013. She recently graduated magna cum laude from the University of Richmond School of Law where she earned the Family Law Certificate and the Pro Bono Certificate. While at law school, Kylie was an articles and comments editor on Law Review, interned with the Virginia Poverty Law Center and the Richmond Public Defenders’ Office, and participated in the Children’s Defense Clinic. She enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
